I want to personally thank you for stopping by www.complain-complain.com, the internet’s consumer oriented complaint department.

As a Consumer Advocate with 25 years of legislative experience, I am pleased that you stopped by this proactive consumer owned and operated website, and look forward to both hearing from you and working with you to solve your complaints.

At this point in time, I want you to personally know that because of what we are trying to accomplish with this website, my staff and I expect to receive a lot of “corporate heat” (law suits?), especially if this website grows and becomes a powerful consumer resource (which we expect).

So you know, we are not worried about the heat, we have “been in the kitchen before.” We are not worried because we know that we are fighting the right fight... the consumer fight, and as such, this project will be worth while for everyone involved. Knowing that, we hope that you will “support” our activities by posting specific written problems and complaints that I can download and actually present to elected officials and businesses. Once I deliver them, I expect them to contact you and hopefully address your problem (Please note: we can not guarantee a specific time frame for the correction of your problem).

Knowing that, we want everyone to know what the goal(s) of this site are.

provide you with a place where you can catelogue your complaints
Use educational principals to train you to be able to fight back while ensuring that others avoid the same trap you have unfortunately fallen into;
to actually solve the problem you are facing.
Realizing that our “job” is to solve your complaints, we need to let you know that for your complaints to become “worthwhile.” we need to have “contact” information. We need the information because we will be supplying the material to the proper official, and hope that they will be contacting you. (including members of the press - we will be creating stories based on the problems and conducting an active media campaign, calling attention to your specific consumer problems in your “community” that are not being addressed by government or business).

As a result, your contact information is vital for your complaint to be “official” and for us to help you solve it (hey, if we can’t get ahold of you, how can we solve the problem?) The information we need is

your email address;
a name;
your state;
your zip code (Please, no street addresses or phone numbers. We will contact you via email first).
Once we have your state and zip, we can professionally “take” the complaint to your Congressman, State Legislator or other official. PLEASE NOTE: NO PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED HERE, WILL BE SOLD, PRESENTED OR MADE AVAILABLE TO ANYONE FOR ANYREASON OTHER THAN TO CONTACT YOU ABOUT YOUR SPECIFIC PROBLEM.

In closing, we know that we will be receiving a ton of complaints, and will be creating services to help you, including an “Ask the Advocate” section that will be specifically designed to help you tackle your problems. This section will be hosted by the California Alliance For Consumer Protection, our California Political Action Committee.
